Gator Alert: Please beware that all lakes can have Gators in them. Please keep children and pets away from the lakes.
Our next General HOA Board Meeting is Thursday, June 20th at 7 pm. We welcome your attendance and participation. These meetings have a lot of good information about how your community is operating and the “health” of the community.
We’ve had many complaints from residents using the fitness room that people are not cleaning machines after each use. Also, please do not leave used wipes/tissues on the machines. If you are the last one to leave the room please turn off the lights, fans and televisions.
Hurricane Season is upon us. Now is a good time to trim trees and clean up vegetation. There are several websites with good information on what you should have in your emergency kit, how to prepare the exterior of your home and what to do after the storm. Nhc.noaa.gov has a guide as does Palm Beach County Emergency Management.
Since the ground is so saturated from all the rain we’ve been having, please make sure when your landscaper is mowing they take care when making turns to not tear up the lawns.
Keeping the growth cleaned up especially around Areca palms is essential for keeping rodents, raccoons and snakes away. Remember, yard debris cannot be placed at the curb prior to Friday for a Saturday pickup. We’ve been seeing more and more yard debris placed at the curb during the week. If the Association has to pick up this debris up, the homeowner will be assessed.
The Lakes are NOT for recreational purposes – NO BOATING on the lakes – this includes, any floating device, including but not limited to row boats, kayaks and canoes. Fishing is CATCH and RELEASE ONLY.
Fertilization is to be done every February, June and October. June is here, so it’s that time again. There is also active white fly in the community so you might want to treat your ficus and fertilize your palm trees now as well.
This is also a good time to check the condition of your roof and pavers – the airplane pattern has changed and more and more planes are flying over Bella Terra again – their low altitude and fuel fumes cause our roofs to get dirty faster – even if you cleaned your roof last year, it may need it again
Walking your dog and not picking up after them is a violation of the Bella Terra Rules and also part of the Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control Ordinance 98-22. Please pick up after your pets and remember that all pets must be walked on a leash.
Summertime Clubhouse hours are now in effect until August 31st. The Clubhouse will be open until 9 pm daily.
Reminder, ACC Approval must be obtained for any exterior changes to your home. The ACC Application can be picked up in the Clubhouse Office, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm or on the website, bellaterrahoa.org
Parking on the street overnight, blocking the sidewalks and parking on the swale is prohibited. Offenders will be tagged and repeat offenders will be sent to the Fining Committee.
